Pragati & Novartis

Both the names, Pragati and Novartis are close to my heart. Though latter is the closest. When one was the b-fest the other was the tech fest that happened in the colleges where I did my post graduation and graduation respectively.
Why Novartis is more close to my heart, is because Novartis, the tech-fest that happened in College of Engineering, Perumon was first of its kind in our college and no batches that preceded could repeat that. And I am proud to have been part of the core committee of Novartis. Its not because I was the core committee member of Novartis; but because to conduct a fest in a government funded college, where you have to face a multitude of negative responses from faculties, PTA members, and even students; its quite a big deal.
Fund raising and the enmity between various groups of students due to campus politics were the biggest threats in organizing Novartis. Yeah, fund raising was an issue while conducting Pragati also, but did we face the issue of campus politics there? No, we didn't. But still Pragati gave me a great excitement, because Pragati was far better than Novartis. It has a long proud history of 17 years. But Novartis had nothing of that to be proud of with respect its history. It was a novice in the field. Novartis just had a bunch of sincere people committed to make things happen.
One thing thus I learned from Novartis and had seen being applied in Pragati was that every success is all about perseverance. The success of both Novartis and Pragati; both was due to the perseverance nature of the core committee members. I really understood or to better say I have seen the proof of Paulo Coelho's words in The Alchemist:
“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

Thus the great lesson for me from the two events was: "Perseverance and trust in one self are  the only things required to reach your dreams."
